To GOD be the Glory
A few that I have are very large. I am told that you feel as though you could shake hands and almost talk to the people portrayed. This family is magnified through a special technique of photography. The photographer adjusted his lens to magnify the people making them appear larger, almost life-size. This view gives you the perspective of closeness to the people portrayed, not wallet size of tiny proportions.
When King David wrote Psalm 34, verse 3, He said, “O magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt His name together.” In the midst of great adversity, even while David was discouraged, disappointed, and lonely and threatened to live in a cave, hiding from King Saul, he magnifies the Lord. He gives God the largest significance in his life. He magnifies God in his heart by giving Him joyful praise in the midst of his circumstances. When John the Baptist came with his appointed mission, he said, “He must increase, but I must decrease” (John 3:30). He desired to magnify the Lord in his life.
Mary the Mother of our Lord Jesus, shared her great love that overflowed for our Lord by expressing, “My soul magnifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior” (Luke 1:46). Mary declared Him great and magnificent in her life.
Our lives can magnify our Lord Jesus as we give Him preeminence in our lives. We bring Him up close to others, giving these the opportunity to see Jesus up close and life-size. They feel like they could shake hands with Him as we share with others His great love for them. We have a union with Jesus. Where Jesus goes we go. Our hearts magnify our Savior giving glory to Him through our lives because the lens has been adjusted to shine forth His image.
Father, I desire to magnify Jesus on the wall of my heart. I want to please You Father bringing glory to You as Christ’s life is magnified in mine. My prayer is that He would increase and I decrease, reflecting Him bringing glory to You, in the Precious name of Jesus.
